Amber Smalls is a visual artist, educator, project manager, and sustainable human development advocate. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Hostos Community College and has five years of experience in visitor services, archiving, and educational programs.

As a project manager for the Hip-Hop Education Center, Amber oversees projects, catalogs and archives data, and designs multimedia content. She also works with Thrive Collective, where she manages projects, designs murals in schools, and teaches visual arts to K-1 students.

Previously, Amber served as the Visitor Services and Group Booking Specialist for The Hip Hop Museum (formerly known as the Universal Hip-Hop Museum), acting as the liaison between the museum and educational institutions. From leading guided tours to facilitating workshops and community events, she remains committed to fostering meaningful connections within the community.

Amber is passionate about helping young people find creative outlets for self-expression and uses art as a therapeutic tool to strengthen their connection to their environment and community. She has curated and participated in numerous pop-up exhibits, with her work showcased at the New York State Senate Office in Harlem.

In her spare time, Amber enjoys hiking and exploring new restaurants as a food critic.
